The State's premier birding site.

We will paddle out to Knapps Island (45 minute paddle one-way) and explore the waters and wilderness. This trip is for the adventurous. So far, our excursions have averaged 6-8 hours. It is true wilderness in Central Illinois.

The Sanganois State Fish and Wildlife Area is an Illinois State Conservation area on 10,360 acres (41.93 km2) in Cass, Schuyler and Mason County, Illinois.

This former hideout of Al Capone is home to the widest variety of birds in the state.

What to bring: water, snacks, sunglasses, hat, comfortable clothing, shoes you can walk, and paddle in, bug repellant and sunscreen.

$55 per person includes guide, boats, pfd's, paddling instruction.

We will bring lunch, snacks and water to be available, at no cost.

Please inform us of any food restrictions or allergies.
